Glass is an independent, subscription-funded photography community with no ads, no algorithmic Following feed, and no engagement tricks. It is a place to share your work, discover photographers, and connect over the craft of photography.

Glass is for people who care about photographs: enthusiasts learning their cameras, professionals sharing finished work, and photography fans who enjoy seeing how other people frame the world.
Viewer membership is free for browsing, searching, appreciating, and following up to three members. Standard adds posting, Series, a public profile, and full community access. How Glass is different
Glass is paid for by members rather than advertising. That shapes the product:
A chronological Following feed: Posts stay in the order photographers shared them.
Private appreciations: Only the photographer sees who appreciated a photo, and there are no public totals.
Photography first: The main feed contains photographs, not videos, sponsored posts, or ads.
Photographic detail: Glass displays selected metadata and treats image quality and color with care.
Privacy: Glass does not build behavioral profiles, sell member data, or measure how long you look at a photograph.

What you won't find on Glass
Glass has no video because it is built around moments captured in photographs. It uses predefined categories instead of hashtags, which keeps discovery useful without games around trending terms.
There are no public like counts and no ranked Following feed. Fully AI-generated images are not allowed; photographs you captured and edited with AI-assisted tools are welcome. These choices keep attention on the work and the person behind it. See how categories and discovery work.
Independent by design
Glass is bootstrapped, with no venture capital or outside investors. Member subscriptions let the team make decisions for photographers without pressure to grow at all costs, introduce advertising, or prepare the company for a sale.
The trade-off is a smaller community. In return, Glass can stay focused on the quality of the work, thoughtful conversation, and a calm experience. The team uses Glass too and builds it as a lasting home for photography.
