Sharing your work
Glass is built for sharing finished photographs without turning them into content for an algorithm. You can publish a single photo, build a Series, or post directly from supported editing tools.
Post a photograph
Standard and Patron members can publish. On iPhone, iPad, Android, or the web, open the upload control and choose the photograph you want to share.
Choose the photograph.
Add a short description when you can.
Choose up to three categories.
Publish.
A post contains one photograph. To publish several photographs together, create or add to a Series.
Prepare your file
On the web, upload JPEG or PNG. On iPhone and iPad, choose photos from your library; RAW files are converted to JPEG before upload. Prefer a JPEG or PNG export with EXIF and an embedded color profile (sRGB or P3) when you want reliable metadata and color.
Keep web uploads under 50 MB. Ultra-wide panoramas are not supported. Landscape photos can be up to 3:1, and portrait photos up to 9:16.
Glass keeps your original upload and creates optimized display copies for other members. For processing, color, zoom, and photo protection, see Image quality.
Choose categories and write a description
Choose up to three categories describing the photograph itself. Categories help people discover work by genre or subject. A description helps other members meet the photograph halfway. A sentence or two is enough: where or when it was made, the process (film stock, darkroom, digital), or what you were after. Leave it blank only when the image truly stands alone.
Photo metadata
When EXIF is present, Glass displays camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and capture date on the post. You can’t edit those fields in Glass.
If you see a second focal length in parentheses, such as 50mm (75mm), that value comes from the FocalLengthIn35mmFormat field in your file when it differs from the native focal length. Glass does not calculate it from crop. If the field is missing, only the native focal length appears.
Editing and export software sometimes strips or changes metadata. If details are missing or wrong, fix them in your export tools before you upload, or replace the photo on an existing post with a corrected file. See How do I edit or add EXIF data? for tools that can add or change EXIF. Glass strips sensitive metadata such as GPS from display copies and never displays photo location.
Create or add to a Series
A Series is a collection you can arrange and grow over time: a trip, a 365 project, a body of portraits, or any connected set of photographs. A new Series needs a title and at least two photos. You can add up to 10 photos at a time.
Start an upload and choose multiple photographs, or open Series from your profile.
Create a Series or choose an existing one.
Add a title and optional description, arrange the photographs, and publish.
You can add new uploads or existing Glass posts later. New photographs create one feed entry for the publishing batch. Moving already-published posts into a Series does not send them through the feed again.
Post from Lightroom Classic
Glass is a publish service for Lightroom Classic, the desktop app. It does not work with cloud Lightroom.
Download the plugin from glass.photo/app/lightroom/download.
Unzip it. Inside is a folder called Glass.lrplugin. That folder is the plugin.
In Lightroom Classic, open File → Plug-in Manager → Add and select Glass.lrplugin.
Under Publish Services, click Set Up... and sign in to Glass in the browser.
Drag photographs into the Glass Photos set and publish, or export with Glass as the destination. Captions become descriptions, and keywords can become categories. Review the published post on Glass if you need to add categories or adjust details.
Post from Capture One
Capture One Pro includes a Glass plugin. Enable it in Capture One under Settings → Plugins, then publish with Image → Publish → Glass. The first time, sign in to your Glass account in the browser.
You can write a caption and choose export settings before you publish. Review the post on Glass if you need to add categories or adjust details.
Edit, hide, or delete a post
Open one of your photographs and choose Edit Photo to change its description or categories. Hide from profile takes the photograph off your profile grid. The post stays in Glass; it is not deleted. To update the photograph file or its EXIF, replace the photo in Edit Photo after correcting the file locally. Deleting removes the post, its comments, and its appreciations permanently.

Share beyond Glass
If your profile is public, anyone can open a post from its link or your device's share sheet. A members-only profile and its photos can be viewed only by people with an active paid membership. You can also share a public profile or public Series link. See Privacy, safety, and your data.
