Welcome to Glass
Glass is an independent, subscription-funded photography platform with a member-chosen home feed, a talented, invested community, and no ads or engagement tricks. Looking for a place to share your work, discover photographers, and connect over the craft of photography? You’ve found it.
A home for photographers
Glass is for people who care about photographs. From newbies learning their cameras, to professionals sharing finished work, or even photography fans who want to simply view fantastic images, Glass is a photo-first space.
There are three membership options:
Viewer: free for browsing, searching, appreciating, and following up to three members.
Standard: Everything in Viewer, plus a public profile, unlimited posting and Series creation, and full community access.
Patron: All of the above, plus three gift membership codes per year, a profile badge, exclusive app icons, early access/beta testing opportunities, and warm fuzzy feelings from contributing to a place for creativity over consumption.
See Membership and billing for current prices and plan details.
How Glass is different
Glass is paid for by members rather than advertising. This enables a chronological Following feed where posts stay in the order photographers shared them. Interacting with a post is designed to promote connection over competition. There are no public totals on any image engagement. Glass does not build behavioral profiles, sell member data, or measure how long you look at a photograph.
What you won't find on Glass
Video
Hashtags
Gamification to benefit third parties
public metrics
ranked following feeds based on engagement
fully AI-generated images (photographs captured then with AI-assisted tools are welcome)
All of these choices are intentional. They keep attention on the work and the person behind it, plain and simple. See how categories and discovery work.
A final important point
Glass is bootstrapped, with no venture capital or outside investors. Member subscriptions let the team make decisions for photographers without pressure to grow at all costs, introduce advertising, or prepare the company for a sale. Our small (but mighty) team uses Glass too. It’s a space built for photographers, by photographers. So, we understand the value and importance of a thoughtful, calm experience. We’re happy you’re here.
