Glass is built for conversation around photographs. Appreciations offer a quiet sign of support, comments make room for discussion, and bookmarks keep work you want to revisit. None of these tools turns photography into a public score.
Appreciate a photo or comment
Use the sparkle button on a photograph or comment when you want to send a private sign of support. Only the photographer or comment author can see who sent it. Glass does not show a public total or tell other members who appreciated the work.
You can appreciate, comment, or do both. The private design keeps the gesture personal and removes pressure to compare one photograph's response with another.
Leave or manage a comment
Write a comment to ask a question or share what you noticed. Choose Reply beneath a comment to keep related responses in a thread, or type @ followed by a member's name to mention them.
Use the options menu to edit or delete your own comment. The photographer can also delete comments left on their photographs. Glass does not offer private messaging today; conversations happen through comments and replies.
Choose who can read comments
Open Settings > Privacy to manage comment visibility:
Your Comments: Controls whether comments you write can be read outside the signed-in Glass community.
Member Comments: Controls whether discussion on your public profile can be read by non-members.
Members-only photos: Their comments are members-only too.

Save a bookmark
Use the bookmark button on a photograph when you want to return to it. Open your profile and choose Bookmarks to find saved work. Only you can see your bookmarks, and the photographer is not notified.
Choose notifications
The bell shows activity connected to you, including appreciations, comments and replies, new followers, mentions, and Highlights. Selecting a notification opens the relevant photograph, comment, profile, or Highlight.
Open Settings > Notifications to choose what you receive. See Settings and account for push permissions and notification choices.
What belongs on Glass
Glass is a photography community first. The Code of Conduct sets the full standards. In practical terms:
Fully AI-generated images, including images created solely from text prompts, are not allowed. Photographs you captured and then edited with AI tools are welcome.
Treat other members with respect. Hate speech, harassment, threats, discrimination, and white nationalist ideology have no place on Glass.
Keep nudity off Glass for now. The Code of Conduct explains the current policy.
Avoid explicit sexual content, spam, impersonation, and attempts to collect another member's private information.
Tasteful self-promotion is welcome in your profile or captions. Do not advertise through unsolicited comments on another photographer's work.
A photographer working under a studio or business name may use Glass. Accounts created to market a brand to members are not allowed.
Glass checks uploads for prohibited content. Members can report photographs, comments, and profiles for team review. For reporting and blocking steps, see Privacy, safety, and your data.
