Does Glass support HDR photos?

Glass does not currently display photos in HDR. If your upload contains HDR brightness information, such as a gain map or PQ/HLG data, the versions shown on Glass are processed into standard dynamic range (SDR). Glass keeps your original upload, but does not serve that file to other members.

Display P3 is separate from HDR. P3 affects the range of colors a display can show, while HDR affects its range of brightness. Glass preserves supported embedded color profiles, including P3, even though its display copies are SDR.

For predictable results, export an SDR JPEG or PNG with an embedded sRGB or P3 profile. If your photo still looks different after uploading, email support@glass.photo with the original file, Glass post link, and the browser or app you used.
