Why photographers use color correction
Most color problems come from the light source. Indoor bulbs push photos toward orange, open shade pushes them toward blue, and mixed light can do both in one frame. Each source has its own color temperature, and a camera's automatic white balance guesses wrong often enough that many photos need small fixes in editing.
Accuracy matters most where viewers know the real colors. Skin tones are the clearest example: a small cast makes a portrait look sick or sunburned. Product, food, and wedding photographers correct color so a brand's red or a dress's white matches reality.
