Publish directly to Glass from Lightroom Classic

Our new Adobe Lightroom Classic plugin lets you publish your photos directly to Glass, no exporting or browser tabs required. Whether you’re editing one photo or a whole batch, this makes sharing your work easier, faster, and smoother than ever.

The plugin integrates naturally with Lightroom's existing publishing workflow:

• Sign in once with your Glass account

• Publish directly from Lightroom's Publish Services panel

• Export to Glass just like you would to any other destination

• Your metadata travels with your photos—captions become descriptions, keywords become categories

• Automatic optimization handles JPEG conversion and quality settings for you

Getting Started

Installing the plugin is super simple and only takes a few seconds.

1. First, download the plugin.

2. Unzip the the plugin, you'll see a file named Glass.lrplugin.

3. In Lightroom Classic, go to: File → Plug-in Manager → Add, and select the plugin file. You’ll now see “Glass” under Publish Services in the Library sidebar.

4. Click Set Up…, sign in to your Glass account in the browser, and you’re done.

Two Ways to Share

Once connected, you have two natural workflows to choose from:

Option 1 — Publish Services

• Drag photos into the automatically created “Glass Photos” set

• Hit Publish, and you’re done

Option 2 — Export

• Select any photo

• Go to File → Export

• Choose “Glass” as the destination

• Click Export

Making the Most of Your Uploads

The plugin intelligently uses your existing Lightroom metadata:

Captions and Titles: Your photo's title becomes the main description on Glass. If you've added both a title and caption in Lightroom, we'll combine them thoughtfully—title first, then your caption below.

Categories from Keywords: The plugin automatically matches your Lightroom keywords to Glass categories. Simply tag your photos with keywords like "landscape", "portrait", or "street photography" and they'll appear in the right categories on Glass. The plugin will match up to three categories per photo, choosing the most relevant ones.

Quality and Color: Your photos are exported at maximum JPEG quality (100%), preserving your chosen color space and original dimensions. We handle the technical details so your photos look exactly as you intended.

Technical Details

This plugin is built specifically for Lightroom Classic (the desktop application). It won't work with the cloud-based Lightroom CC.

The plugin requires an active Glass membership and internet connection for uploading. If you encounter any issues, try restarting Lightroom or checking the Plug-in Manager to ensure the plugin is properly installed.

Why We Built It

This plugin came directly from member requests. Many of you told us that switching between Lightroom and your browser interrupted your creative flow. You wanted to share your work the moment you finished editing, without the friction of exports and uploads.

After building our Capture One integration, bringing the same seamless experience to Lightroom Classic felt like a natural next step. We know Lightroom is where many of you spend hours perfecting your images, and we wanted Glass to fit naturally into that space.
