Florian Kriechbaumer in Apple Spatial Gallery
From Glass to Spatial GalleryAnnouncementsWe’re thrilled to share that two photographs by Glass member Florian Kriechbaumer have been featured in Spatial Gallery, on Apple Vision Pro, a new app that showcases Apple-curated spatial photos, spatial videos, and panoramas.
We worked with Apple to help surface incredible work from the Glass community and Florian’s stood out immediately. Both of his selected images showcase his rare ability to blend the technical and artistic with elegance and vision.
In “City in the Clouds” (pictured above), Florian captures a fleeting moment where dense fog from the desert blankets the ground, leaving only the tallest skyscrapers of Dubai visible. Taken at sunrise from a unique vantage point atop a nearby rooftop, the photo reveals a city that feels suspended in air almost part reality, part dreamscape.
His second image, “Remains of Deadvlei”, was taken in Namibia’s iconic salt pan. With its stark orange dunes, skeletal trees, and bleached white ground, the scene feels almost extraterrestrial. Florian’s composition, placing a dead piece of wood in the foreground, offers a subtle reminder of what once stood tall, giving depth and presence to the landscape’s silence.
Spatial Gallery is viewable only on Apple Vision Pro, and while we wish more community members could be featured, we’re proud to have been a small part of making this happen. And prouder still of Florian’s remarkable work.
