Softness in photography can take a myriad of forms, but the basic recipe is shallow depth of field, negative space, and minimal elements. We've all practiced this style at some point in our creative journeys. We've gotten decent results and hopefully, images we like. But Renita Yoon has softness mastered. Regardless of subject matter, she has a keen eye for graceful light and gentle scenes.
Pastel tones and tactile textures seem almost velvety throughout her work. Her subjects, living or inanimate, are handled delicately. Instead of chasing sharp contrast, Renita leans into subtlety. The result is imagery that doesn't demand attention, but invites you in to memory, or feeling, or even a quiet, often overlooked moment. She understands the impact of stillness and the power of being soft.
We look forward to seeing more of the world through her lens.
