There’s a special kind of bravery in turning the camera on yourself. For Melinda, self-portraiture isn’t about ego or aesthetics, it’s a quiet, searching practice. Through her lens, we’re invited into a world shaped by light and shadow, vulnerability and strength.
Her work on Glass is centered entirely around self-portraits. Some are ethereal composites, others grounded in natural light and clever framing, but all of them reflect a deeply personal form of storytelling. She uses gesture, texture, and light to communicate what words rarely can. It's a flicker of emotion, a moment of stillness, a story unfolding just beneath the surface.
Whether layered or minimal, abstract or literal, her images never shout. They don’t need to. They hum with clarity and presence.
We’re honored to feature Melinda’s work, especially during Composite month, and grateful she shares so much of herself here. Take a moment, scroll slowly, and sit with these photographs. They ask for nothing but your attention.
