Why do I need to enter my payment details to start a free trial?

Glass is supported entirely by our members. There are no ads, no engagement tracking, no data sales. Ever. That means we rely on subscriptions to keep the lights on, not advertisers. Asking for payment details upfront helps us stay sustainable and keep the experience focused entirely on photographers.
2. The trial is completely free for 2 weeks
Even though we ask for payment details, you won’t be charged immediately. Your first 14 days are 100% free, and you can cancel any time before the trial ends. No charge, no hassle.
3. Your payment info is safe
All payments and billing info are securely handled by Stripe, one of the world’s leading payment providers. We never see or store your card details ourselves.
4. It helps keep spam and bots out
Requiring a card up front drastically reduces the number of spam or throwaway accounts, which means a calmer, more respectful community for everyone.
