How do I edit or add EXIF data?
Glass reads EXIF data, displays it, and then generates camera and lens feeds helping you discover more photos and photographers. Unfortunately, that data just isn’t available from scanned film shots.
Thankfully there are third party tools you can use to add this information to help you catalog your photos and improve discovery of them on Glass. Feeds aren’t automatically generated to maintain quality. So, if you’ve added some EXIF data and the camera or lens isn’t a feed yet, just send us an email and we’ll happily generate it for you.
A few tools you can use to edit/add EXIF data for your photographs:
- ExifTool - a command-line tool available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, free and open-source
- CaptureOne - available for Windows, Mac and iPad, paid
- Adobe Photoshop - available for Windows and Mac, paid
- Lightroom Classic - available for Windows and Mac, paid
- Photo Mechanic - available for Windows and Mac, paid
