Empty chairs so early in the day. But when I passed and saw the light and the contrast, I had to try a composition.

This film simulation, Monochrome Kodachrome from FujiXWeekly, is with low contrast settings in the camera. But sometimes like here, I underexpose with 2 steps to get it deeper.

Yesterday I used almost the whole day in the port hunting for soft lines and contrasts. I like this on - and a couple more.

A trip in the old part of Veliko Tarnovo where many artists and handy crafters are established with theirs galleries and outlets. Wonderful town almost in the centre of Bulgaria.

Taken in a village 2016. In many generations it was a well functioning barn and now it has fallen down.

500 kg that night, on Klemet and me, as the beginning of a thinning fishery in an overpopulated large lake in Finnmark. The catch was ground up for animal feed the same morning.

I love the depth and variations of the shades of gray with plain monochrome directly from fujix. The sunlight also helps.

Wow, it's actually almost three weeks since I was out airing the camera.  Today I just had to try, a little carefully, to test if the presets were still in place. Yes, they actually were like this one that comes ready with the camera. Then there is no excuse to wind up :)

Maybe to flat settings for a gray day, but I like the gray pigeon to be hided and protected.

Is it allowed to upload a photo you haven't taken yourself?

Well I do it anyway, as an exception. When I saw this beautiful mountain picture that my daughter took on a trip to move some of their reindeer two days ago, I asked nicely for permission to use it.  And the answer was yes :) I'm proud of her!

These areas are for spring grazings for reindeers, far to the northern part of Norway - where it’s still full winter and often windy.

She took the picture in color with her iPhone and I converted it to b&w in the “Picture” App for iPad. 

A double exposure of the most busy girl I know. Even at a cafe she need writing contracts. But it gives me time for photographing, so I don’t know why complaining :D

I don’t know if you like my mixing between old film scans and shots of the day, but I can’t refrain from it. So this one of my master Toralf, cleaning salmon nets in ‘70ties, will probably not be the last. Breivik, Soeroeya, Finnmark, Northern Norway.

On the way to our fishing camp fare off-road in Finnmark (Northern Norway) spring 1981. Normally it’s 6 hours drive but this time we used 3 days in the mud.

Thinking a lot about image formats today. The more I study the portfolio of @rishio here on Glass the more I love his choice of 1:1 instead of changing between different formats like I do.

From my short period as fisherman in the small fishing village named Breivik on Sørøya (Northern Norway) from 1972.

Out and tested my new (and a bit extreme) film simulation today, made especially for old monumental buildings (like this church) and other historical motifs. (Comments are much appreciated)

Everything is preset in camera, the picture taken in jpeg and posted as sooc without post processing.

Love this active communication over a cup of coffee in front of the big window.  That's what makes cafe life entertaining - and relaxing!

It has to be my last self-portrait for the category of the month. Here on the other side of the camera together with my father in the early 50's. 

I found several negatives in an old drawer in my parents home, in the format 8.7 x 5.7 mm (circa) or 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches. The film is scanned into TIFF, converted to JPEG. 

In my next life, I want to be a street dog on the pedestrian street in Varna.

It was a cold day in Mollisjok far out on the plateau in Finnmark (Northern Norway) in the winter of 1976.
