Have you even had a proper coffee if you don’t take a photo or six of it? I say no.

Visited my favourite coffee shop for the first time since the pandemic, Hive Coffee Company 🐝 It’s situated in these beautiful well kept grounds which is so nice to wander after a delicious flat white and warm cheese scone. 

Caught a lovely golden sunset from my window this evening. I love observing the neighbourhood trees getting leafier with each day that passes and framing my view.

A reminder to myself that older iPhones took great photographs and there’s no good reason to upgrade every year. 

Overnight rain droplets on a spiderweb covering the plants in my garden. Nature is beautiful.

One of the reasons I love this time of year is blossom season. This is the Japanese Cherry Blossom tree just outside of my garden path. It’s a pity it lasts only a matter of weeks as it’s such a beautiful sight.

I liked the sunset reflecting in the windows of this office block and the spindly tree that didn’t get the memo about it being Springtime.

I suppose there’s worse places to work 👨🏻‍💻

I’ll probably photograph this Ferris Wheel from every conceivable angle during Spring/Summer season.

It’s nice to be at the beach in the evenings wearing just one layer.

First time going macro on the iPhone. Amazing what can be achieved on a smartphone today.

My new companion: Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro. 

This is a huge upgrade…from a Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro. Yes, the colour has seen me upgrading mid-cycle and I’m very likely to be Apple’s target audience. I can only think they have read my tweets and delivered my requests over the past two years. Capturing the beautiful shade was difficult as it changes depending on how the light catches it and I can’t say that my Fuji camera has done a very good job of it here, but I did like the shot regardless.

The mornings are more bearable when there’s sunshine. Yoda the Yucca getting his daily Vit D intake 🌿

Approximately 45 seconds before I took this photo there was a colourful kite in the sky. Unfortunately I didn’t have my phone on me. In the time it took me to run from my garden into the house and back again, the kite had disappeared. But still, I liked the moon and the clouds and the ridiculously tall lamp post. 

This was from one of those photo sessions we had at school, where the photographer shouted “Say cheeeeeese!” and you felt like doing anything but! I’m not totally sure how old I was here though the estimation is 8 years old.

The pinwheel in my garden has been busy doing what it does best during a very stormy Winter ‘21/‘22, so it’s nice to see it having a rest on a calm Spring-like day 🌀

Glass Self-Portrait Month 👤📷

Like most people who enjoy taking photos, I’m far more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it. I take about one ‘self-portrait’ a year, this one being just shy of a year old, so I guess I’m due a new one soon. 

Last Spring after my bunch of daffodils died I put the plant pot outside in my garden and forgot about them. A few days ago I noticed them coming to life so repotted with some fresh soil and brought them indoors to the kitchen windowsill. A day later and they’re flourishing 🌼

Reaching into the archives for reminders that Springtime is just around the corner, while we endure yet another storm in NE England. Looking forward to seeing nature brightening up our days 🌼

I love how the frosted glass on the bathroom window makes it look like there’s a pine tree forest outside.
