Still in my purple phase!

There is one particular patch of moss on top of a wall near my home that I revisit every winter to catch it as the sun sets behind it. 

Each time I revisit it I discover a new alien landscape - this time transported by snow and very expired slide film.

Slight departure from my usual style to show you one from a couple of years ago that I recently rediscovered.

Dug out the old Canon point and shoot that I was given for my 18th birthday for the wonderfully-named Shitty Camera Challenge over on Twitter….and I kind of loved the results! This was taken with HP5 in the Mackintosh-designed Queens Cross church in Glasgow.

I just repaired the battery door on this camera and am once again rediscovering it - it’s a great wee camera and a joy to shoot with!

Something a little different since it’s the autumnal forest time of year - is this the first instance of APS film on Glass?

On a particularly anxious day I took the worst roll of film I had in the worst film format to the forest in the rain.

Magic happened.

Pleased I managed to retrieve this one, film broke off inside the camera and I had to dive into a dark bag to retrieve it - worth it though!

More of my experiments with pre-exposed film - this one used a pink to purple gradient, which turned out to be my favourite colour combination to work with! Goes especially well with spring green tones.

This one’s a little bit out there but I like it!

I often experiment with pre-exposing film with a continuous wash of bright colour - this was an aqua green to blue gradient.

Very old Elite Chrome 400 from a golden hour walk in the park last September - I had intended this roll to be cross processed but it ended up being accidentally E6 and I’m so happy it did!

One of my favourite things to work with is expired slide film.

Many people would just throw it away, it’s too old and the colours are all wrong. Others will try to ‘correct’ the colours in post.

I’m going a different way.
